Hello there,

My name is Amika Toussaint, and I am the voice behind AmikaMonde. Born and raised in Haiti, I moved to the United States to attend college/university. From the school enrollment process and beyond I was baffled by the lack of resources available for international students. 

I have noticed a surge of international students who are struggling to navigate the college/university system in the United States. If you are feeling this way I want to help. The transition can be hectic, and every slip up can have everlasting effects on a student’s both professional and personal life.

I created this blog mainly because I see a need for a platform where students can find useful content they can relate to and/or use to help them achieve not only academic success but success in general. However, I believe anyone can benefit from it, learning is a forever type of journey, in my book we all are students. I am a curious soul, with a degree in Business Administration and tons of ideas running through my mind. Latter is the other reason why I decided to start blogging.

I am not trying to claim that I am an expert, but I want to navigate the answers together while sharing my own journey with you.
