AmikaMonde is a digital platform for students to locate informative content on education. Its purpose is to help international students, in particular, navigate the U.S. educational system. Here we foster learning, share survival tips and provide necessary guidance to achieve academic success, that we hope student from every background can benefit from.
Meet the Founder
Hello there,
My name is Amika Toussaint, and I am the voice behind AmikaMonde. Born and raised in Haiti, I moved to the United States to attend college/university. However, from the school enrollment process to my first meeting with a school counselor, I was baffled by the lack of resources available to international students.
I have noticed a surge of international students who are struggling to navigate the college/university system in the United States. If you are feeling this way I want to help. The transition can be hectic, and every slip up can have a negative impact on both your personal and professional life.
I created this blog mainly because I see a need for a platform where students can find useful content they can relate to and/or use to help them achieve not only academic success but success in general. However, I believe anyone can benefit from it, learning is a journey, and in my book we all are students. I am a curious soul, an avid reader, with a degree in Business Administration.
I am not trying to claim that I am an expert, but I want us to navigate the answers together while sharing my own journey with you.
